Makita 4Stroke string trimmer and 4Stroke Blower.

I might be drifting a little off topic, but I assume your Makita trimmer and blower is relatively newer right? Made by Dolmar, fantastic product! Looking forward to be hopefully selling their product this year!

About 3 years old, but yes.....the trimmer is a BEAST.....nothing stops it and much quieter than any 2 stroke.....ask me if I miss mixing oil and gas...

^ So, do you miss mixing gas and oil? My BII does it every time that I get it to start and stay running. Mixes it so much, that you might as well call the 2.8 a 2 stroke!

i got my craftsmen back in the summer of 2002, i've made it smoke many a time and it's still goin strong. got it for $17.74 during the fathers day sale (that's the only time i buy shit at sears)

Has anyone repped for Bosch yet? I definitely recommend their stuff. I've got a 18V Li-Ion Drill and an Impact Driver. Both are great. Battery life is decent.

Lowes seems to have a sale on them once in a while. I got the two for $199, I couldnt pass it up.

Been with dewalt for years but the makita with the lithium batteries are little powerhouses. George the jeep uses his little cordless impact driver for pulling jeeps apart lug nuts and all. I abuse my dewalts severly and usually get 3-4 years out a chuck. If you can get new batteries that would be the cheapest unless the drill is acting up also.

i have a milwaukee cordless drill and 3/8's cordless impact that thing is frikkin SWEET! i love it its my favorite tool in my box and its small but beats the pants off the snap-on impact 8 days a week!

I ended up buying the 18v Lith Ion Dewalt 1/2 drill and 3/8 impact and love it, used the impact today to get at some bolts out of a oil tube that I couldn't get with a air impact

yep, a cordless impact will be my next drill purchase. used my buddies dewalt 18V a few weeks back. i screwed a 2x8 to a 6x6 post with a 6" lag bolt like it was just a regular screw....on half a charge (maybe a little more).....frickin awesome

Thats what I love about them to. I think the Dewalt battery should last a little bit longer than the milwaukee due to the fact that its about 35% bigger.

My Lithium Ion Milwaukee drill with the compact battery (1400mah) lasts about 70% as long as the xrp (2400mah) 18v dewalts do. If I throw the full size battery into it (2800mah), it'll run circles around the dewalt. By the way, the full size battery for my milwaukee is about half as heavy as the full sizes on the dewalt.


I've heard people say they got pretty similar results about their lithium ion stuff.

I forgot about Milwaukee has the extra capacity batteries. Dammit I should have gotten the Milwaukee!! I just had to be different than the other guy at the shop LOL

Home depot was also giving away a free extra battery with any Milwaukee tool up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago. So I got several tools for that
