EGR Vacuum Solenoid

1987 2.9 4x4 xlt. It seems that when i turn off the engine the EGR Vacuum Solenoid bleeds down making a buzzing sound. Anybody ever had this happen.

Damn, a million of these made and i got the only one that has this problem, whats the odds.

Nah, mine used to make that same noise. I always assumed it was normal.

Cool, did a top end and it had it before so i assume its a bleed off from EGR. Its not as Pronounced now and duration has narrowed. Dirty

I normally get that buzzing noise also, red/green hard vacuum lines to the fenderwall thingy.
I thought it was a feature so one could find the front of the vehicle when it was really dark outside.

Under the round cap is the bleed filter pull the cap and filter and spray some wd in after you shut the engine off. Clean the filter with dish soap and dry it out then put back together. That filters the air bleed that closes the egr when the computer tells it to.

Well that seemed to work. Particle build up in the filter. Got a little dirt out of the filter when i cleaned it with soap and water. Ill keep my ear open. Thank Dirty
