EGR Insufficient Flow

So I got an intermittent CEL a few weeks back. The stored code was 332 for insufficient flow through the EGR valve. So I decided to replace everything EGR... The dpfe sensor, the actuator thing, and the valve itself. Now the light comes on whenever I drive at a constant speed (say, 30 mph). Same code 332.

Any clue what is going on? I replaced the sensor with the motorcraft retrofit one where you solder the new connector in. Seems that after the sensor was replaced was when the light came on all the time.

Could it be that the new sensor is reading more correct than the old one, and a mechanical problem is amplified?

Figured it out. I used a coat hanger to unclog the passage through the intake From the EGR valve. Now the light is off and it even seems to run and idle better. Hope this helps someone.

The hole for the EGR is behind where the idle air control hole is when you look through the throttle body. Mine was so caked up you couldn't see the hole when you look through. If you bend the coat hanger just right, you'll be able to unclog it from both ends. Just make sure to remove the carbon dust from the throttle body afterwards!
