I have always like manual chokes.
You should adjust automatic chokes twice a year, for summer and winter temps.

With manual you do that daily but have more control.

And for electric choke, there are things you have to know, lol, if you use a Key on circuit for power it works fine, unless you don't start the engine immediately.
If you answer the phone or listen to the radio for a few minutes then you lose the choke when you do start the engine, not a big deal.......unless it is cold out.
Alternator circuit is better since choke doesn't start heating up until engine is running.
