Who here has done a duraspark conversion on a carbed V8 Ranger. The wiring diagram isn't working that is in the tech section. Was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem and found a way around it.

You only have three wires from the dizzy to the module the green from the module to the coil and the two power wires. What kind of coil are you using. two of the wires from the dizzy are for the pickup coil and the other is ground. What are the wire colors for the module on the 4 wire connector. Green goes to coil black is the ground from the dizzy and the other two are for the pickup. You can use a stock TFI coil and tie the red for the module with the pos on the coil and the white wire you connect with the start circuit from the start solenoid if you cant find the wire at the harness. to check the coil put a spark plug in the coil wire from the dizzy and ground it then take a jumper wire from the neg side of the coil and touch it to ground quickly and the plug should fire. If your getting fire then you need to check the pickup coil for resistance should be around 3 ohms. If you are using a aftermarket coil you may need to put a resistor in it but the TFI coil will run on battery voltage and gives it alot of punch. Then you can use the stock 5.0 plugs for the TFI ignition. Believe me you dont want to get bit from it once it is working good.
