Another trail twenty minuets south of blanding utah. this ones kinda hard to rank since we did them on ATVs but with my limited knowledge of 4x4 trail ranking id say it was an easy 3 with areas that i wouldn't drive with anything but a super modified rig with extensive drive train armor. from the start of the DugWay to the end of BLM trail head #1 its about 35 miles ranging from mild dirt road, to extremely steep and loose slick rock switch backs that over look Arch canyon. From the start of the DugWay its a long accent to the top of the Arch canyon on a road best described as a tire puncture nightmare. lots of sharp pointy rocks . after about 1.5 to 2 miles of that its mellows out to a somewhat flat dirt road leading to BLM trail head #1. im sure this trail was intended for ATVs but its big enough to handle a full size truck. this trail wraps around San Juan county and spits you out on the north west side of the town of Blanding. there are lots of steep inclines and declines and due to all the rain this last few months the floods have made all the canal and stream crossing alot more difficult. i would recommend you do the trail on an ATV first to get a fill for the trail. in all its about 35 miles in length and has the potential to test any ones rig to its limit.
