Wanted Duff Extended arms.

Anyone got a set of James Duff Extended Radius arms they'd let go? Need the complete set with the frame mounts as well.

I know I can get them in the Stage 3 kit, but Im wanting to install on a truck that I don't intend to lift

Keep us posted how that works out, I have actually been wondering if extended radius arms would make much difference on a non lifted truck

Another set of factory arms and some 2 inch dia quarter inch wall DOM extends the stock ones quite easily.

Are you saying just extend the current arms using some tubing? Hmmm never even thought of that!!

I may try it… and build a custom crossmember.

I used 2x2x0.250” square tube. Cut the stock arms to where the tube nestled in. Plate the back with some 3/16” or 1/4” plate. Welded a threaded insert in and a joint from Ballistic Fab. I don’t know if I have any good pics though but I’ve done it twice so far

Tube extended radius arms are a pretty common mod. I used 2" .250 wall DOM round tubing and 2.5" Johnny Joints, threaded tube inserts, and 3/8" + 1/4" plate steel to make new frame brackets. I went 13" longer than stock so the frame mount is just forward of the stock trans crossmember (so I didn't add one).

In progress pic before final welding. In hindsight I shouldn't have heated the stub end of the old radius arm quite as much, it turned out to be brittle and I had to reweld it.

About all there is to it,

I added 18” of tube, slid right over the threaded stub, had it welded, cut up the body of spare arms doubled it up to resist bending.

Used the threaded stubs from the cut up arms in the tube.

Then hacked up the radius arm crossmember to fit in the new location, That was less than perfect.
Angles weren’t ideal but rode steady on the road and improved wheel travel once I got rid of the dufftuff springs.

I wish I still had pics but photobucket. Sold them with the rest of the lift kit to some kid in eastern pa from here back in 2010
