if it sags usually its the bushing inside the hinge. atleast thats my experience with the gen 1 and 2 RBVs.

If the bushings check out, there should be some adjustment in the latch/door catch.

I found that there is a lot of little adjustments needed to make the door close 'normally'. ..ie pitch/bevel, etc between the hinge and jamb.
I had to change out my hinge..(DS) and since then, things havent been quite down to spec ..- but it is a '20' yr old truck... so you have to play with it, use thin shims or whatever, to make it fit and work right.
Some things, you have to live with........!

its called the ford door sag, all fords that era do it, get new hinges and pins, and itll work like a charm

I took both doors off to have the body sandblasted and it took quite a bit of tinkering to get them to both close and hang right...there is quite a bit of adjustment available through the hinges though...

Best way I found (if it's not the hinge or the pin because they are likely the cause) is to remove the front fender and mark the current hinge position...then remove the bolts that hold it on (leave one in place on each hinge) and then adjust it up, down, forward, or backward until the door closes easily...you'll need to loosen one bolt on both hinges and tighten it back down to test...best if you can get someone to help you cause the doors can be heavy (I used a floor jack to hold the door up and that is not the best way to do it)...

Both of my doors took about an hour to get exact...but now they both open and close like they should...
