So I have a ranger with about seven inches of suspension lift. I need a driveline. It's approximately 58 to 60 inches flange to flange. Any ideas or suggestions for donor rigs or any mods. I was just thinking conversion joints on a bolt in application. Any ideas guys?

Tom Woods drive shaft specialist makes them. I have used them on my trucks and Jeeps. The best out there. You can just Google custom drive shafts and see what comes up.

Any driveline shop around your area can pop that out in no time. I cut and weld my own then bring it to them to balance, saves me big. Just give them a flang to flang measurement and they will make sure your slip yoke is set right, they will use all your parts just put in a longer tube

I just had one made at a local shop for the same reason. Take your old one in and they will retube it for you to whatever length you want.

Whats the Texas price on that just to know?

If I had given the correct measurement the first time it would have only cost me $115. So make absolutely sure you measure correctly and aren't 4 inches off. It really sucks having to pay for it twice.

^^^ 58 to 60 inches flange to flange isn't approximate enough.

repped (or...as RSH says---"raped")



I ended up having to buy a new flange after I modded my own driveshaft (the local driveshaft man pointed that out to me) ...the bearing caps were loose in the flange because the needlebearings went bad & caused the caps to wallow the press fits out....

I haven't heard of any other place being a better price. And the shop I go to has lots of credibility. One guy I know has used them for 30 yrs without a single problem. Another friend has had complete custom shafts made there for very reasonable prices. Imo it is better to retube the shaft than any other option if you need a longer driveshaft.
