Door wiring difference

Swapping doors on my 1997 as the originals were rusted out and missing the interior trim and speakers. Found a pair off of a newer one, got the passenger side wired up with no issues, but the driver side door has some different coloured wires than coming from the truck. Truck has a blue, green, orange purple and black, while the door has blue green orange and 2 blacks. Any way to tell which black would go the purple?

Here are the speaker wires. This seems like a lot more wires than you mentioned. Do you have all these options or just some of them?

Thanks for the diagrams, I'll take another look over those, I'll see if I can snap a picture of my current wires as well if need be

I looked in the wiring section but nothing relevant I saw.

FWIW, I'm going to hazard that something like 90% of the time a plain black wire with no stripe is going to be ground - for all years of Rangers. So I would take an ohm meter and see if there is zero resistance between black wire and bare metal on the same part - for all 3 of your blacks involved. Course I would also do this test with the battery disconnected so you don't fry your ohm meter.

The newer doors would have Anti-Theft security system wiring even without power locks, right?
And all of em would have the dome light switch in the door lock - wire colors stayed the same between the years?
I'm kinda surprised you don't have a lot more wires to contend with.

I haven't had much time to check schematics, but in the meantime I managed to take some pictures, the first picture with 2 black wires is coming from the door, and the other with the purple is coming from the cab. Weird thing is passenger side matched up no issues.

Figured I'd post a quick update, after testing, figured out the thinner black went to black, and the thicker black went to the purple.
