door sensors

i have an 01 ranger xlt 4 door and my door sensors keep going off saying the door is open when its not. does anyone know how to change them and if its a pain to do.

disconnect it completely, just make sure you do it inside the door panel and not at the Buzzer under your dash other wise your air bags will quit working

Or spray some WD-40 on it. Every summer when its gets hot my 02 ranger does the same thing.

if you go to the dealer to have them replaced they will charge you out the butt for them, it was 250 a piece to get them done in my ol 99 ranger

WD 40 will work, contact cleaner is better. Shoot it in the latch which is where the switch is located...
