Door Lock Issues

I can't unlock either doors with my key, therefore I can't lock my truck up. I have power door locks and they work, however when I turn the key in the door, nothing happens. I have heard that this issue is easily resolvable, but I can't figure it out.

I have the original keys to my truck. It's a 96 XLT Supercab. Thanks

you mean the key turns in the lock and does not unlock or the key will not turn in the lock?

key turns inside the lock and does nothing

take off the door panel and see whats going on inside. There may just be a rod off in there. Have you had the door panels off or know how to do it?
