I noticed that my handles was loose and thought it was something inside but when i lifted up the handle to open i looked and the rivets were gone..lol.. anyways I was just wondering if anyone knew what size to get as I was going Monday to get them.

Thanks

You can't find those (over-sized) door handle rivets at a hardware store. You have to have a special size for the application. You also must have a special tool to apply them, which body shops (and ford) have.

Use button head torx bolts of the right size, with locktite on the threads. Don't use any bolt with sharp edges or hard corners, they re hard on hands (I learned the hard way).

Harbor Freight sells a 100 rivets & a rivet gun for $4 (on sale), or $6.50 (normally). I've got that and have used it ever since for various projects...

I'm sure you can find a washer that is large enough to fit the door hole & the rivet head at Home Depot...

But, the Torx (or Allen) button head bolt idea is a good one...

They are 1/4 inch and a standard rivet gun won't install them. We have a huge rivet gun called a Big Daddy they we use to put them in. Either bolt them or swing by a body shop or Ford dealer and see if you can sweet talk them into popping a couple of rivets in for you. It'll take all of 30 seconds.
