door ajar alarm

Okay on my 91 xlt I have a door ajar alarm but u can hardly hear it its very very very quiet.. how can I make it louder? Id like for it to be loud enough to hear. And are there any door ajar lights tht should come up on the dash when the door is open? Thanks in advance

the "speaker" is probably bad. grab another one from the junkyard or Ford and just replace it. its under the dash, driver side, slightly toward the center.

looks similar to that, they come in different colors.. Idk if that one will fit your truck or not but, it looks like that one.

just find it.. put your head next to it. see if it's loud down there or not..
I have all of mine unplugged anyways, the one in my B2 is bad (not loud). the explorer I plug it up when I"m not the one driving it b/c my father will leave the lights on! lol

I can't locate the speaker.. but my truck has an alarm system also. I looked everywhere under the dash and can't find a speaker

Pics work for me.

I also unplugged mine on my 91 Explorer. Seems to me it was back near the firewall approximately between the radio and glove box under the dash. I remember lying on the passenger side floor to unplug it.

Okay well I went to the local pull apart and got 6 speakers. I got so many bc I wasent sure if they were going to work or not since they did come from a junkyard..but 3 of them worked. Hooked up the loudest one and it chimes just like a new one. Thanks for all the help guys.
