2.5L ('98-'01) Dont know what this goes to

Can someone please help me out with this . My ranger has been jerking while i accelerate and occasionally stalls out , but it powers right back on . I took off manifold to check my injectors , and I noticed this thick nipple that has a hose that connects to nothing . Can someone please let me know if this could be the reason to my problems or even what it’s for .

I don't know what it feeds but it's definitely a vacuum leak and will cause problems.
I noticed the sealer spooging out from under the throttle body, I'd remove the throttle body, clean off all the sealer and reinstall it with a gasket. Sealer could likely get sucked into passages you don't want plugged.
