dont deface your ranger for cb radio read this

Most of you probably don't have a full-length console installed in your rangers though. I have that in my 95 So I've gotta mount it on the pass. side.

mounted mine like this, i dont care for those vents anyways:

Hey Danger-Ranger 96, that looks good, maybe just put a frame/ faceplate around it to cover up the foam. Did you block the air passages coming in though, if you didnt you may just fry that C.B. They dont like heat and generally need to be well ventilated.

That came out alright...

I like my heat on these -40F Winters though :)

ya i got a cobra cb radio not srue waht model but it came with my truck and it was mounted underneath the ash tray and it got really anoying cuz me shift would hit the cords and the sometime the face of the cb so i took it out should i put it back in? for offroading i dont even kno how to use it but i guess it would be handy if you get stuck out in the bush or lost

The reason I like having a cb is for when highway driving, and when out on a trail or whatever its easier to communicate through that than shouting out the window to somebody else. Plus it is nice for say your out on a road ya break down and your cell is dead or no service, ya shout on that someone like maybe a trucker may hear you and be able to lend ya a hand by calling someone for you in an area with cell service, it's happened before. A CB isn't hard to use normally.

yeah i installed mine underneath the center console (where the CD's and tapes go) fits there nicley, ill post a pic sometime, the antenna is on the center of the roof, and the cable, goes into the 3rd brake light plastic thingy, and into the cab, had to put a hole in the headliner and the 3rd brakelight, and siliconed the holes so water does'nt get in, thats it....no defacing nessasary!!!

i think it would be cool in the door pocket on the drivers side i think i might put mine there when i get it

i just used industrial strength Velcro to mount mine, i like it where it is, i ddrive 60-80 miles a day on the interstate and it really helps to have it especially during the winter/snow season

heres a pic of mine, cobra 148 GTL i just have it wired to a cigarette lighter plug and the coaxial ran through the back door until i can get a good antenna

When I had my PA system I just shoved into the door pocket. It was nice how no one could see it.

i shoved mine in between the bottom of my dash & the cupholders. no drilling or anything, it just stays there no problem
