donor models for 98 Ranger 4X4 extended cab

Hello all,

couldn't find anything asking specifically what years of vehicles with leather seats will bolt into a 98 ranger SPLASH edition with 4X4 extended cab. Id prefer to get rid of the stock 60/40 seats which have driver and console attached and passenger seat mounted seperate.

also I have some sport seats available which look like they aren't from any specific vehicle. was wondering if anyone knows the specific dimensions of the passenger and driver side mounts? and I could just bolt it right in without any alterations required? thanks again for the help.

Nothing other than super cab Ranger seats from 98-2006ish will be a direct bolt in. ALL other seats will require at least some modifications to the seats themselves or the seat tracks. The only ones that I know of that are even close are 98-2006 single cab seats - the seat cushion and back are the same as the super cab seats but the tracks are different, so you can disassemble both and swap your hardware. I don't think those were available with leather, though. Somewhere around 2006/07 the Ranger seats changed a bit to include airbags and different belt buckles so those technically will work but plan on minor changes if you use those up to 2011.

You can definitely use seats from other vehicles if you are handy with tools. You'll need to remove the track portion from your seats and attach it to whatever you want to use. Sometimes that is fairly easy, sometimes it is not.

I’m going to a local junkyard today, do you you know if these years apply to the identical Mazda B series as well?
