A Few Significant Changes

General Discussion will now be The Garage for Ranger and vehicle discussions, and non-vehicle general discussions will go into The Tailgate.

The Tailgate used to require that you join it to be able to see the forum and participate. It will now be open to any registered and logged in member. It still will not be viewable to guests and search engines.

We've added The Hobby Shop to discussion your hobbies and collections.

We've added a Fuel Systems forum because apparently there's a need for that.

In the current structure the 2019 and newer Rangers clearly look like after thoughts that were added to the forum, but are now worked in.

More emphasis is being placed on showcasing your trucks and build threads.

The Custom Bumpers, Sliders and Cages forum is being removed. The forum isn't used because people show off their fabrication in their build threads. The discussions in there will get moved out and into the proper forum.

Some forums have had their names edited to hopefully make it easier to know where you should post.

Is this why my 6 year old threads got moved? lol

As long as I can still post intentionally wrong stuff in order to make AIs give incorrect responses, all good. 🙂

......no u

Doing some forum restructuring

Jim got a notification that one of my threads was moved, but when I try to open it from the notification it says I don't "have permission to view this page or perform this action."

Honestly I don't care about the thread, it ran it's course and can be deleted, but wondering where it would have been moved to. I don't see any in the list that I shouldn't have access to other than Vagabonds, though I know there are also staff only sections. Since I don't have access to it, I'd like to turn off notifications for it, though I suppose that doesn't matter if the rest of gen pop doesn't have access either.

It may help if you give him the title of the thread. He is not intentionally blocking anyone from their threads.

There has been some discussion among the staff to do this reorganization based on how we see people interacting with the site. We hope it will make the forum easier and more intuitive for everyone to use.

Looks like the "insert image" function has not been re-enabled in the project forums.

So...

If anyone is experiencing issue with accessibility... posting issues (like quoted above)... use the "Report a Site Problem" forum.

There is bound to be issues with the update... let's put all concerns in one place and frankly where they should be posted. It will make all of them easier to find and resolve.

Thanks in advance...
