I've been emailing this guy about his 1984 Ranger with a 302 V8. Here's what he said about it :

"It over heats-it needs a body lift and it wont over heat any more"

I know I'm not the most mechanically inclined person..but I don't understand this. Does this make sense to anyone?

the 302 is a tight fit.. i dont know if it makes sense... but maybe there isnt enough air space to move air around the engine.. doesnt sound like the best solution.

Just sounds like someone has no idea what they are talking about...

IMO.

It sounds to me like an attempt to rip-off a buyer.

If a body lift would have solved the problem, why wouldn't the seller have done it? It's cheaper than a radiator....

I am new to the forum but I do have some years of automotive experience. And a big thing that people get confused in is that the radiator cools the engine not cold air moving around the motor. If the installer did not understand this what else did he do wrong.
