Does anyone have one of these rear window shades?

You can get new seals for rear windows. Cheap too.

I have one for my truck, I'm just too lazy to put it in.

:icon_rofl:, really!!! Have you priced one from Ford for a supercab with sliding rear window? Ford wanted over $100 for that little sticky tube seal. So I imprevised when I replaced mine.

This is an AVS brand one. It does mount to the body and I think that it would take care of your problem. Not to mention I like driving with both windows down and the slider open and this takes care of the wind tunnel effect you get. I really like it. Just don't back into your garage door or it will look like the last picture.

Thank you for the pics Powerranger! I like that a lot. The AVS brand looks better than the GTS that I posted. Where did you get yours?

I have a vent shade on my truck. It is great for when I want the rear window open and if it rains water won't come in while I'm driving (but NOT in a heavy rain when the truck is stopped). Just wanted to clear that up. You have a leak that you need to take somewher to have it fixed before you get some rust going, Bro!!!! If you put on a new gasket around the third stoplight then you have a seam or a window are that is letting water in. Try this....when it is dry, run a gentle stream of water over the top of the truck going from front to back for about 3 min. Check inside the truck for the leak and see if you can see where it is coming from then. Hope this helps. That is haw I have found a few leaks for a couple of my buddies who had a weird leak they could not find. Hope this helps out, Bro!!!

I ordered it from Advance Auto Parts. Not sure what parts stores you have around your state, but it's like a Pepboys, autozone, Oreily's type of store. I think it was like $35.

I'll have to give this another try. It's really weird because it doesn't always leak. I've thought I had it fixed a couple of times because it hasn't leaked for a couple rain storms. It usually only leaks if it's rained for a few days..... but when it starts it drips pretty good.

I don't think I need to worry about rust much.... even though Utah gets some pretty bad winters, rust isn't a big issue here in comarison to some of the pics I've seen of other trucks on TRS (the rust belt stuff).

Straycat, do you have a pic of yours?

Thank you! I'll have to check that out. We have the last 3 you mentioned, no Advanced though.

Hear is a shot of mine in the back of the garage. I have had it since 2000 and it still looks new. I bought it on Ebay for $20 with shipping included back then. It is from AVS. It is smoked and it matches my window tint. I still see them on Ebay for a really good price from time to time.

That looks good Straycat. Thanks for the pic, I think the AVS shade is the way to go. I really think it will look sharp on my truck.
