Dodge Avenger for my truck?

Ha.

I told the guy that I wasn't interested because I wanted something with fewer miles, and he got defensive saying that after he saw the rest of the pictures of my truck he was no longer interested.

THANK YOU ! because i wouldnt have done it after seeing the pictures of your crap!

Guess a rust free semi decent running truck for a rusty avenger doesn't float his boat. :icon_thumby:

Prior to me saying no he was all for the trade, wanting me to come check it out and test it/have him test out mine.

A '95 car is going to have a lot of problems, there's usually a reason someone is selling a car, and sometimes it's not because they want to. I am not saying there's positively something wrong with it, but that thing is 13 years old.

Down to road, I'd imagine you'd be much worse off with that car, you don't know the history, where you know the quirks of your truck. Unless you plan on doing all of the work yourself, you might find yourself putting so much money into it from a shop, you could have just bought something nicer to begin with. This is simply why I won't get rid of anything I have that just works well, I don't want to start the cycle over again and fix problems that the PO was reluctant to fix.

He said he's selling it because his father got a new job and he needs a truck, but your right, you never know.

Did he give you any indication on exactly what his father's job has to do with him trading his car for a truck? :icon_twisted: IMO, Doesn't make much sense..

Pete

Meh, I'm glad he was an ass about it.

I'd rather have the Ranger. It's been pretty dependable the past year. Never left me stranded (other than in the middle of the road) and we've been through a lot together.

Smart move. That thing looked like it was leaning over in the picture. What a POS

I never posted a picture, that's truckmansons car. :D

He has it parked up in the snowbank, is why it's leaning.

If that was the car I was trading for my truck would be gone by now. Haha.
