Has naybody done a diy smoked lens on their headlights? I have about 30 sets of headlight covers (clear) for F250, Econoline and navigstor. Thought I could modify them then Ebay them. Any suggestions?

I guess I could spray the outside then buff it out.

Cool, I find a can today and see what happens. The worst I can do is scrap the part. I have tons of the parts so I could try a few things out.

That's the best way to do it yourself, that stuff works great.

Little trick though, put a clear coat over it.
To tint your taillights will cost you $150 at my shop. And when you get your truck back it looks awesome. All the painter does is remove and clean the lights, spray about 5 coats of VHT Nite-Shades, then 2 coats of clear, then a quick buff.

This is my painter's truck. There are 9 coats of VHT w/ 2 clear on the tails, and 3 coats of VHT w/2 clear on the headlights.

*For the curious ones- that is, House of Kolor Tangerine, laid over a metallic silver
*Also, I'm sorry I put up a pic of a Dodge, it was purely as an example.
