Distribution block and wire gauges


ive been told that 8awg is good up to 400w. and that 4awg is good to 1000w. anything over 1000w will need 1/0.

really, there should be a another cutoff point for 2 awg, like 1500W or more, but since knukoncepts doesn't sell 2, customers with 1400W like me are forced to go overkill with 1/0.

Since the 4 AWG flex handles 150A I should be good with that at $1.40 a foot, but I'll be checking the electrical supply places here for 2 AWG before I place an order with knukonceptz.



I'm getting my distro block from work for under $5. :)
