Dist timing??

Which way advances time on the 2.8?? Allso can u actually advance time on these or are they computer controlled? just bought truck

They are computer controled and can be advanced but they wont run wort a s***.

I believe the computer controls the timing, but it has to be set initially. They vary a little year to year. It should be on the label right in front of the radiator. You need to make sure the idle is set to spec., unhook the "spout" wire (yellow wire at the distributor) and set the time according to the label.
