disk brake conversion

ok ok this is what im doing, some rangers (94-97) have 8.8 28 spline drum brakes, buy it for the housing get an explorer rearend complete axles, brakes, gears, brake lines match perfectly to the ranger 8.8 housing and we all know the ranger housing bolts right up to the ranger no mods what so ever to the rear end. also you need a 4wheel disk master cylender, and parling brake cables.

the Ranger 8.8" rear axles '90-92 and '93-current
are NOT THE SAME as the explorer axle.

/the explorer axle uses larger diameter axle tubes axle shafts
and larger outer axle bearings and the part that makes this
an issue a larger brake mounting flange at the ends of the tubes.

I HAVe a 1995 8.8" axle and the explorer brakes don't fit.

IF you find one of the RARE FX4-Level2 8.8" rear axle assemblies
those are ranger width, but use the larger 31-spline shafts
and axle tubes.

On an FX4-Level 2 the explorer brakes are a direct no annoyance bolt-on
you still get to deal with the lines and cables, but....

Someone really needs to make a detailed out line of what is needed and how to do it in the tech secion because I really want disc brakes on the rear end of my Ranger!

backing plate from northracecars.com/brakes.html, mustang calipers, cobra rear soft lines, stock ebrake cable, and rotors matched to the bracket. the cobra soft lines hook right to the ranger hard lines, and the brackets fit without modification, so going this way it is direct bolt on.
