damn, that's pretty cheap for the .25 wall. i just paid $140 for the same. i'd use the 3"

For that price, I'd rather just buy a built trailer from Harbor Freight for $200 and just drop the bed on it.

that $200 trailer has really small axles and small alxe bearings... not really the best idea of a trailer. i wouldn't use it. i'd rather buy a good axle from TSC and build around it.. but that falls back to the welder idea. i think if you take your time you'd be fine w/ you welder.

I'm not worried about the axle/leafs. They will be swapped out regardless.

so you'd rather pay $200 for the thin metal frame?
by all means, its yours. but i'd buy the metal and do it myself.. for the better frame. sure its more work but..

Yeah I dont know. Just looking for the most cost effective way of doing it. And like I said, it doesn't need to be any stronger than a cheap utility trailer.

build it already!!!!!

Lol send me the money for some steel then

I would, but its reserved for an axle sitting in the yard waiting to be picked up :D

The scrap yard in Hokinsville ahs all that square tubing cheap. I had a bunch of nice long pieces for projects till someone butchered a lot of it for crazy jig projects that didn't work anyway! :icon_rofl: :icon_surprised:

It ain't chopped up, I took the scraps to make it, and left the legs long (as long as they were) and didn't do full welds, just on the sides so its easy to grind them off so they are usable pieces...

take a road trip up here and that steel would cost you about 30 -50 bucks
