Put F150 leaf spring plates on today to replace the Ex ones I had on. The shock mount on the Ex ones kept hitting my frame since I had to use them on top instead of the bottom..

I am wanting to get 2 new tires like my rear ones, but i am having a hard time finding anyone that carries them. They are Buckshot Maxxis Mudders. Here is a pic. Will be selling a full set after I get them, the 2 in the front and 2 more.

I got a question. You did the expo leaf swap correct?

I did on mine and the centering pin nuts are bigger than the ranger and my ubolt plates dont fit. How big is the hole in the f150 plates? And what yr are they from? I hope they work.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Read the tech library. Ex axle is above the leafs so when you put them on a Ranger/B2 you have to flip the bolt in the center holding the leafs together. The F150 plates were off a late 80's model. I only used them because the F150 9' rear uses the same size u-bolts as my 8.8". You won't need them with your 7.5".

I know the bolt needs fliped.

I got explorer leafs,flipped the centering bolt and my stock ubolt plates will not work as the bolt on the centering pin is bigger than the stock ranger one.

Hmm..never heard that. Mine fit fine with my stock axle and brackets. You may have to drill it out. The F150 plates won't work for you, your u-bolts are too small.

Yeah I have found them several places online. I was hoping to find them local.

I'm kind of torn too. I could spend the money on 2 new tires, or find a set of 4 good used 33s for the same price.

Yeah there not even that much bigger. They are new replacements from emch spring. I figured id have to drill it out,and just noticed f150 plates wont fit.

And just wait for tires. I wanted some bad but got pissed. Waited 2 months and scored cragar soft 8's with 32" BF Goodrich M/T Km's for 70 bucks. Just gotta look around man.

Picked up a newer Explorer rim and tire today for a spare. Now I can sell my stock set for a few bucks.

what is that steering linkage off of? is it going to allow the ttb to flex properly? i cant really see how it is on the pass side...

The short piece is stock, but installed backward. The long piece is off an XJ. Total cost of $15 for all the steering components from the junkyard. It is setup the same way the XJ is, but I had to use the shorter stock piece because the XJ one is too long.

As far as flex, I'll have to check. I am kind of wondering myself, but I must say it is so much easier to drive.

I don't think it will work. I think you will get major bump steer. As the passenger side moves it is going to push the drivers side around. Works on the jeep cus it is a solid axle.
