Different sized fittings on brake line?

you always have to check.

same year truck with 4cyl auto may have different fittings then a 4.0 manual.

even at the master. early trucks usually the soft side is 3/16 to a certain point.

Yeah, unfortunately all of these trucks are all over the map in terms of brake fittings. They all use 3/16” hard line, but fittings vary widely. I gave up buying the pre made lines years ago to simplify things. Few years back I made the step to get a lever-style brake tool and go to using nickel-copper brake line with stainless nuts. I usually get the nuts from Summit Racing. Since I have several trucks and also do a bit for friends and family, I have an organizer with an assortment of all the fittings I’ve come across needing for these. I also have an organizer for used fittings and adapters because sometimes the wheel cylinders I get take the standard flare nut and sometimes they have the oversized one, so I usually have some adapters laying around and just put the standard nut on the line, so the adapters sometimes get re-used.
