Did I go too far to save my tint?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think those windows are bolted into the regulator, not riveted. If they are riveted, you are in over your head.
There is no regulator - he said they were manual windows.

Yes, they are riveted with some aluminum rivets.

Be very careful, tint scratches easily.

I've considered this problem before when I had 20% on my Ranger. The one possible solution that I considered was to have more than one set of doors. (I was thinking three sets - two full and a set of half doors). My idea there was to pin the door hinges so I'd just have to pull two pins and off comes the door. Have one good set with tint, have one set clear glass (maybe do a weight reduction on it or something just for grins), and then the half doors for cruising in the summer.

window tint must me really expensive for u guys, i usually pay like 25 $ for a complete window tint (sides back and front )and with the darkest tint.
lighter tint gets a bit more expensive tho, around 40$

I used an air grinder to get the rivets, then used bolts to put the new window in.

It's a bit tricky getting the windows in and out of the door. Take the time to remove the rubber/plastic trim pieces before getting the glass loose.

Thanks for the responses I'm gonna try a garage I went to last year with my windows rolled down.. If that doesn't work out then I'll swap out the windows. Btw I was totally in over my head haha i had no idea it involved rivets!!

So I go to the shop with windows down and pass that part :) but they got me for a hole in the muffler the size of a golf ball! hahaha oh well I've been putting that one off for a while and it caught up to me.. So Idk what to do with the windows... Keep em for next year? Sell em?

keep them, that way if some punk kids smash yours, you have spares
