deck problem?!

Just bought a new alpine deck. Hooked it up and it worked perfectly in my driveway for a good 15mins. Then after when i was going to the bar i turned it on and within a min on the road it shut off. Now it still plays music but if i turn the volume up past a certain point it just cuts out the sound. But the deck still is on and the cd is still playing?? I allmost seemed like when some real bass and midrange started to come threw, it kicked the sound off. I tried taking the power for my amp off but it still does this

theres a speaker wire pinched somewhere. or the deck is defective. try fading it to a specific speaker and turning the volume up. go to each speaker untill it cuts and then you found the problem.

i had this problem in my dads f150 he put an alpine in and went to turn it up and it cut off the stock speakers couldnt handle the 200 w and the deck goes into like a safe mode and shuts the sound off replaced the speakers and it hasnt done it since... it does it when you turn it up then when you turn it back down does the sound come back on?

no it stays off. if i turn the deck off for a while and turn it back on the sound will come back
