Dash lights

I installed a new stereo yesterday and i believe i cut my dash light wire...does anyone know what color it might be and how to reconnect it? it's a 2000 ford ranger. thanks.

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe its light blue with a red stripe.

There are three power wires to the radio, one acts like ground when the lights are off, then is hot when the lights are on. It is easy to hook the ground to this wire, then when you turn the lights on it pops the fuse and you lose the dash lights. Don't know the color of the wire, but check your fuses first. If it continues to blow the fuse when the lights are on check what wire you hooked up to ground...
