Daniel3507 Build Thread

So you like the supper 44 on the 4.0? I'm still looking for exhausteses for my truck. I'll have to keep that one in mind. It's prolly gonna be either that, of JamesDenton's side-pipes.

I love it. The youtube clips dont do it justice.

So like many of us here I have been battling a rough idle for quite awhile. Ive cleaned the MAF and IAC, new fuel filter, air filter, seafoam, plugs, wires, and all kinds of stuff. I decided to get a Screamin Demon coil pack after reading lots of reviews on them and hearing about how much they help. I was pretty hesitant about it but didnt really know what else to do. I was really surprised at how much it really helped. I installed new plugs and set the gap at .065". Smoothed the idle out a lot more than I was expecting. I would recommend this to everyone.

(sorry about the crappy pic)

thats nice and wuts with the decal. i like it and would rock it on my truck.......and are the alcoas 15x7 or 15x8. cause i like em

I got the decal from Frank The Tank. He might still have some. the Alcoa's are 15x7. I had to look for awhile to get a decent set at a good price. Actually got them from a member here.

So after a month long process of trying to get the right shocks i finally got them in and installed. For the rear I went with Bilstein shocks. The stock ones were totally shot. I could compress them all the way down by hand with out even trying and they wouldnt extend when i let them go.

I decided to get rid of my spacer lift and go with skyjacker lift coils while i was doing the front shocks

If i would have been thinking i would have taken pics of the install or at least a pic of my stock coils next to the new ones. Once i pulled the stock ones off i was really surprised at how weak they had become. I was able to push on the coil and compress it. I couldnt compress it very much but you can only imagine how much it was sagging with the weight of the entire front end on them.
For front shocks i went with Rancho RS9000XL. They are designed for up to a 2'' lift so it works perfectly with a leveled Ranger and they are also adjustable. They have 9 different settings with 1 being soft and 9 being firm. I have them set at 4 right now and will probably start to change it up in a day or so to get a feel for the settings.

The ride with new coils and shocks is totally different. I have less body roll making it more responsive and an overall smoother ride. Im very happy with the mods.

Im still waiting to get my new Ruff Stuff diff cover powder coated but hopefully it wont be too much longer. This thing is bad ass though. I got it in the mail and was really surprised at how beefy this thing is. I was so impressed, i decided to smack it with a shovel a few times.

I've got several of the decals, been sending em out here and there. Glad it's on, looks good man.

Looks really awesome Daniel. I never realized how clean your truck is, practically showroom.

Thanks a lot Mike. I really try and keep it looking nice and running good. I have an obsession with washing cars. I wash the truck once a week and re wax it every other week or so haha.

Just dropped off the diff cover at powder coating. Decided to go with candy blue. Should take about a week

The same sort of blue as the Bilsteins?

No they didnt have anything that looked like that so i just went with something different. I wanted to stay with a blue though. Its kind of like this,

Man that's close enough. I'd be hard pressed to tell unless they were right against each other. It'll look good under there.
