Dang coyotes getting into everything.

Right, I just dont see it as practical if you have a trailer behind you yet. Rivian has 400 miles unloaded, so I'm more hopeful for them.

Their website claims EPA estimated 314 miles range, but it's kind of hard to navigate. I see mention of a large battery pack, but no mention of a smaller battery pack; so I can't tell if it is just fluff or there are multiple size batteries.

I will admit the rivian and bollinger (sp?) Look decent from a strictly visual perspective. But to drop 100k+ for a truck that really, practicality speaking, is not any better (imo) then the 24 yr old big block i currently use makes very little sense.

Not argueing. Just saying.

They just recently delayed the max battery pack until 2023, but that's the one that they have the 400 mi range claim

Koof delays fawked the batteries.

I am not buying electric to tow with right now....though I do have a hybrid as my personal tow vehicle. It will rip the guts out of any previous 90,s big block....and bitch slap it....

yeah..

a 1/2 ton. Crazy.

it embarrasses my 22 250....and it has more then double the displacement with 7.3l on tap for an engine. So there certainly is replacement for displacement.

Electric is for commuting...and fun...for the near term.

I look forward to skid steering and turn table steering wheeling with maximum creature comforts...when these first trucks age out....my wheeling rig...if I live that long...is gonna be crazy capable..

I have seen what the Bolli and Rivian can do.

And it's friggin awesome in potential.

I have been hoping more in the lines of hub motor development the last 20 years...quite shocked really that they are not the key advancement...but time will tell.

As to electric being king of all towing vehicles coast to coast....not anytime soon..... but in 5 or 10 years....Yes
That is a simple matter of time. Diesel/achates electric or hybrid.

Electric is coming. Faster then you think.

There are NO....NONE. I.C.E. in big 3 development. What's in the gasoline pipeline that is being played with is nearly here or here. There are other pushrod fords ..whether or not they get out is unknown.

I even like the mach e.

That said....electrifying old cars and trucks is the way of the future.

But in the mean time....coyotes and cyclones.....are the thing to use.

They are waiting for your Camaro project at the salvage yard right now....150....top seller. Easy donor

Covid. Supply whip is brutal. Because most of...we... are sheep.

Ill believe any of that when i see it. All im saying on the subject.

I'll take Bobby's word for it, given that he's been there and done that more than most of us combined.

Plus he actually shows up at trail rides so we can see his vehicles in action.

Your welcome to come get my 150 and try it out.

All of this shit is real.....all you have to do is leave whoville.

Better is subjective. Just sayin.

I know better then to argue with you....but just like my opinions cant change yours or others yours cant change mine. All we can do is wait and see.

The market will ultimatly decide how fast and what the end result will be....and there is a whole helluva lotta people out there who arnt ready or willing to switch.

I will say at some point i might consider a hybrid....but full electric? Not happenin

Is it so difficult to -consider- the possibility of electric, just by taking Bobby up on his offer to see what it can or can't do up close?

I wasnt actually refusing the offer. Was just saying. Besides his is a hybrid which i did say i might consider....30 yrs down the road assuming i can still drive

Now now....let's not get carried away ...

unlike rusty, my pig ranger and your 250.......even the Montego...

No way this hybrid I love so much will be around in 30 years. I am just praying it makes the lease term trouble free...

I am just willing to enjoy the tools for what they are. And ever changing is what it is.
