dana 44

I would keep the toy rears but the driveshaft is on the passenger side and if I use a ford transfer case it has to be on driver side

honestly, i say just beef up your toyota axles with some longfield axles and you will be really strong then, theres all sorts of upgrades for the toyota axles, ive seen toyota axles when build handle a big block and 44's for years on end with only the occasional u joint failure(at the pinion)

That's being a bit optimistic, don't you think? (or someone isn't really driving it very hard)

I'd say 38s if it was a stock V6, but certainly not with a Big Block. You have to remember a Ranger is a lot heavier than a Toyota too.

So guys thought I would give you an update got the c-6 trans and transfer case in today with really no complications.I know everbody said go with dana 60's but couldn't pass up the deal on 77 f150 complete truck minus bed so got complete running gear hopefully to go in next weekend.

Dodge np205s were quite common and had the right side drive. I don't think Chevy ever used a divorced transfer. I could be wrong about the chevy though, I'm allergic!
