Hi Guys, I am posting from Australia where we don't have all the goodies you guys have. I am seeking a "high pinion" differential for a hybrid project that i have got going.

Can you guys tell me if the front TTB Dana 35 from the Ranger/BroncoII/Explorer is high pinion or not. I know that the later Dana 35 SLA front axles from the Explorers etc are low pinion (although use Reverse Cut Gears), but I have never seen a TTB 35.

All the Best and looking forward to your posts. Regards, Trev from Down Under

A TTB 35 is high pinion reverse cut.

Welcome to the board.

maybe not ranger stuff, but you guys get hella cool other stuff (Hilux's, Patrol's, GU/GQ's, CRD Jeep's, Defender 90's, Simex tires, all sorts of neat stuff....)

welcome to the board!

High Pinion Front Diffs

Thanks for the welcome guys. Yeah we do have some good stuff...but not what I am after at the moment.

Thanks for the info on the "high pinion" TTB.. To take it one step further.....can anyone tell me whether Ford/Dana did a "high pinion" IFS/SLA front 35 axle.

The onlyDana 35 SLA axle I know is the one that came out in Australia in the 96 onwards Explorer...but It uses a low pinion reverse cut front diff.

Can anyone tell me whether there is such a thing as a High Pinion SLA Dana 35 axle used in anything at any stage?

Also, what's the availability like on the TTB high pinion 35 diffs over there?

Thanks again, Regards, Trev.

I'm not sure on the SLA stuff, but TTB 35 diffs are fairly easy to get. The common person dismisses them as crappy most of the time...
