dana 35 skid plate

Forget the helicoils.........:no2:
CRAWLIN91......I hit my front diff a few times really hard when I did wheeler lake. the bottom bolts are stripped (need helicoil) and the diff is now leaking from the bottom of the rtv seal.
I stripped mine out as well then i found out a 7/16 tap fit the hole perfectly so..... I just striped out the threads really well with the stock bolt and impact gun and used a 7/16-14 tap i belive... no drilling just tapped it ran new 7/16 bolts in and good to go...:headbang:

I drilled mine out considerably larger and retapped them. Much much better, :icon_hornsup:

How thick was the plate you used to build the skid plate?

Mine is 1/4" plate steel.
