Why are there two different style seals for the driver side of the differential? One is shaped more like an inward bowl and the other is more outward.

One is for right hand drive trucks.

🤡

Just kidding. I believe one of two things is happening:
1- Their description is simply wrong and 3543 is the passenger side
2- One of those is for a Dana 35 axle, and the other is for a Dana 28, and they are indeed both for the driver's side. 710043 looks like the Dana 35 part.

You may have to compare what you have now to those parts. Suppliers are notorious for listing D28 seals for D35 applications and vise versa for some reason, I have even seen D28 parts listed as being the correct parts for 91-94 Explorers... that NEVER had a D28 axle, ever.

I can vouch for parts catalogs sometimes getting it wrong. They still have the rear axle seals for an 8.8 jacked up.
