dana 35 axle shaft. NEED HELP.

why would you need to eliminate the c-clip to run a locker? and i can deffinitely see ease of removing the shaft for breakage, but there is no u-joint on that shaft.

Yes, there is a U joint on the inner shaft.

Inner axle shaft - U joint - Shaft with slip spline - axle shaft - U joint - outer stub shaft.

2 u joints on the passenger side. An inner and an outer joint.

Lunchbox lockers like the Aussie, lockright and no-slip do not have an allowance for the E clip to go back on the shaft. Not sure about a Detroit or ARB.

oh yeah, once i stopped to think about it, there is a u-joint right next to the splined part of the shaft. thanks for all the info guys. very helpful. im also thinking of doing a dana44ttb swap, does that c-clip eliminator apply to that as well?

It has the same E clip on the passenger inner shaft that the D35 and D28 do.

a simpler way of doing the c-clip eliminator is to drop a valve spring into the female splined section, tack weld the cap under the u-joint,and put it all together.

this idea came right out of arb's instruction manual, and works quite well.

Mine is done that way...had a spring kicking around that looked about right....so I tacked the cap in place. So far so good.
