hello maybe someone here can help me identifying my front end. my auto hubs are toast and i'd like to switch to manual. the tag on the front is rusted out so i can't see what it says. its a 1990 B2. the build date is 10/89 and the axel code on the door sticker says 44. Does that mean its dana 44? thanks for any help.

I count 10 bolts, Dana 35. Code 44 means 3.73.

From what i can tell looks like a 35 upper balljoint, 28's don't have adj. upper ball joint with pinch bolt.

one more question while i'm at it. I've never changed tranny fluid before so i thought i'd ask before i start undoing tranny bolts. Its a fm146. big bolt on the bottom the drain? bolt on the top right the fill? thanks again.

Correct on the tranny. Side one to fill, bottom one to drain. Takes gear oil.

You have a Dana 35, 3.73 gearing, like previously mentioned.

There's no question that's a D35.

definitely a 35 3.73 gears....unless you run stock...change the gears to 4.56 or 4.88 if it is hilly....4.56 if you are on the highway alot and go faster than 70

Does anybody know what size the drain bolt is for the tranny is? I just crawled under there to change the fluid and realized I don't have a socket big enough.

Large. Like 1" or 1 1/8". It's been a few years since I've had a mitsu so I can't give you a solid answer.

I seem to recall it being 24mm.
