On top of that I needed u joints and I have money that I don't have spent on the parts n I'm nroke and don't theink I'll can affod my bills and my jobs stessing me worse then evver and I'm just ready to give the **** up shit I'm ready to sell my trck in the black rage I'm in! Damn it to hell

I-I-I-I-I-IMMMM baaaack!

Linkage don't fit?

Reeeeelaxxxx.....I tack-welded my truck linkage to the linkage that was bolted to the transmission shift-shaft.....after an hour or 2 of shifting the linkage through the prndl and re-tacking/adjusting to be able to get from P to L....I unbloted the hybrid from the transmission & welded everything good...

U-joints...use the originals til you find some money...

job stress....go out to the lake.....scream your lungs out until your either worn out or hoarse...if all that fails---while your nice & tired & hoarse----hit your knees & talk to Jesus about everything....He's a real good listener...trust me on this one!

annnnnd don't sell the truck unless you can double your money & get one with a shorter repair list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's all I got.......

Are you needing to swap the shifter arm from one trans to the other? It's not too bad. Just take a pic of how it went together before you tear it apart. Also remember if the shift lever from the F150 is pointing up or down, they can go either way depending if it's a floor or column shift.

There's a pin in the bottom, directly below the shift lever, that you need to pull out once you're ready to pull it out. The hardest part is getting the large nut loose inside the trans on the other side of the shift lever. And also if the nut on the kick down lever on the outside if it is rusty.

But then again I have only had to do this 3 or 4 times on 2WD transmissions, never a 4WD so I am not sure exactly what you're looking at.

yeah the new 93 Trans has the up facing Cable shifter arm and the truck uses the Rod shifter arm that goes down.

we have the nut loose on the inside and the kickdown lever is off but got stuck there, is that pin the roll pin right by the lever shaft?

Doorgunner my good friend that is some very sage advice, iv been able to relax now but i do think today i shall go to the lake and have that talk.

its just a few hours away:icon_twisted:

The pin I was referring to is directly below the shift arm right in the casting of the actual transmission near where the transmission pan lip mates up w/ the casting. You'll see it, just a little stub sticking out, it usually just pulls right out with a smaller set of needle nose. Easy to lose lol.

just imagine how pissed you would be when everything works out and you don't have anything to work on cause you sold the truck. it is coming along though and i like it

Hey smokes we got your back man. I am by no means a transmission guru but I'm always good at pep talk!:D
