d35 need suggestions with gearing..

thanks guys...5.13s it is...i just bought a d35 chunk with 5.13's and a locker...now all i need is 5.13's for a 8.8..

Do any of you run a 2.9L 5.13s and 35s? what are the RPMs at 70 mph?
I am building a 90 to clear 36s but got cheap 35s for now. I was thinkin 4.88s but maybe 5.13s are what i need. I would like to be able to go 70 mph and i live where there are hills. but if i have to keep it at 60mph so i get decent mpgs with the 5.13s i will. i can tow it at 85 with the tow rig haha. The truck used to have 4.56 with 33s and it was perfect.

I was just curious to what a 2.9 runs (rpms) at 70mph with 35s or 36s

I have that combo in mine with no regrets whatsoever.
At 70 it's right about 3000 on the tach. MPG is about 22-23 if I slow down to 55-60 or so. I also still have the FM146 transmission which does not have quite as deep of overdrive as the M5OD and A4LD transmissions. With those trannys figure about 150-200 RPM less.

Awesome. Thats what i wanted to know. 5.13s it is. I was at 3000 at 70mph with 4.56s and 33s. Which worked great for wheelin and on the road. I have the stock 5 speed manual.

Thank you
