Heyyyyyyy guys. Doing up a temporary wheeler 'til my BII is done, and I reeeeeally want to do a cut and turn. I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing, but I have a few questions for anyone who's done this. First question, I would like to try and utilize stock shafts as I have about 89374 of them laying around, and it's only a temp wheeler as I said. So my thought is rather than do the cut on the pivot side, I'd like to do it closer to the radius arm if I could. What problems have you guys run into with this? I'm not too worried about u-joint bind, there should be plenty there, plus I've clearanced the shafts already. I dunno, any help and pictures would be great! I've got a spare set of D35 beams already, and I wanna start cutting ASAP! :headbang::headbang::headbang:

And don't tell me to not cut the beams and just buy a bolt on kit. :icon_thumby: I already have a bolt on kit, but I don't want to use it.

I would check out dezertrangers, there should be plenty of pics over there

Why the hell would you want to fab when you can buy a bolt on kit?

if i could load pics id show you how i did mine
1 are you going wider in the front
2 are you leaving your bracket lift on

if your stayin stock width with all stock drop brackets set the truck on stands at the height you want it. make a jig to bolt to your front rotor to hold it level. you will need to cut the bottom ball joint loose form the beam then bolt on your jig having your rotor and ball joint able to slide in and out from the beam once you get it where you like it there will be a gap "lets say 1" " now you will plate in the gap and make sue you check your caster and camber angle its not hard to do just time consuming the first time you do it now one side will have a differnt size gap than the other thats ok
