The seal is leaking where the axle goes into the diff on the right side. Am I correct that the whole hub and everything must come off or is there an easier way to do it.
Thanks!

The differential needs to completely come out of the ruck to change the right hand axle seal as the inner axle shaft is held in with a c clip. The left hand axle shaft just slips out of the diff.

I've got a c-clip eliminator on mine and the same seal is leaking a tad on mine... Does the diff still have to come out?

Nope, just remove the axle and pop out the seal and install your new one.

Thanks man i just got a qoute from a local shop for 100 bucks but i dont think they realized the whole c clip thing.

The c clip eliminator goes on the slip yoke to prevent the shaft from coming out of the diff? Is that correct?

After the new info about having to take the diff apart the shop wants 250 just for labor and iv already spent 60 on parts and fluid. Is it really all that comlicated or can i do it myself and how long would it take me.

It involves taking the axle completely apart, including the driver's side radius arm so the pinchbolt can be removed. Then you can remove the front diff and get the c-clip out. Not too complicated, but it takes some time.
