D-ranged

Holly crap haven't touched the thing for a year it seems until last Friday i put in bell-tech 6400's and 3 inch lift block (didn't have one) didn't take pictures though but i probably will when i build my exo-cage and flat deck but I'm trying to get it road legal first to drive because i get my "N" license in a month!

Man, if my BII ever rots away or I tip 'er over (probably tip it... haha!) I'm so putting a regular cab Ranger onto the frame. And good luck on getting your N!

If I do the Ranger cab swap, I'll exo it. But for now it gets driven on-road and exos are not street legal. Something about pedestrians getting tangled in it or something dumb. :annoyed:
Just a question though, why did you go to all the trouble of wiring a 2.9 in there rather than a 4.0?

because i had the 2.9l already on the frame and the 4litre is to much un needed power we had one and couldn't go up a sloped hill in the rain with brand new all terrains on it. oh and Exo cages dont seem to be a problem on Van island if you get a Vi throw a canoe on top and call it a boat rack lol a really overly strong one.

finally

New parts!!!!

....wtf the pic in photobucket is not sideways but is when i paste code....but whatever(tried to fix 4 times and no longer cre)

so....should i weld some washers to the body mounts on the frame since there kinda rusted out not extremly but i dont want to pull the bushing through the frame? anyway doing the brakes on this was a pain in the ___ because how ford mounted the brake line to the coil bucket is just retarded and to pull the clip thing off was not that much fun. and any suggestions on what color to paint it? i was thinking a shiny black and a kinda shiny dark red for bumper/exocage and flatbed.

Close to done

So i finished Body lift today just have to fab up rear body mount looks pretty easy2.5" square across where factory X-member is and the square should be alot stronger then the stamped steel one...so yeah here it is with the 33"s(resting against it at the hight it will be..should be getting rims quite soon hopefully)

Things left to do...not in order...
-Put rad in
-change filter and add oil
-tube front bumper/sliders/exocage
-get new battery
-dana35/8.8
-clutch hose
-park brake hooked up
-paint it(Still need sugestions i cant decide between white body with black exo/bumper/flatbed or black with orange stuff or black with dark red tubing...
-put tires on
-weld the 7.5:icon_welder:

and i think that is it? so far lol

Got my rad mounts welded in today and my rad put in....Also siphened 2 year old gas out of the tank(about 10L)
Does anyone know what to do here..lol

The Ranger is sitting in my high school auto shop for its final(for now) stages. Im building a tube bed based lightly on 97trailrigDD's tube bed build but only 4 feet long and a couple little changes. So far i only have 80ft of 1.5 x .120 wall HREW tubing(301$) , should be enouph and maybe some sliders out of it.

To do:
Finish tube bed
bleed brakes
install and bleed clutch hose

Question:
Where should i get my clutch hose and what price around am i looking at? :icon_confused:

Good looking project you got going on there. Any way you can post up a pic or two of how you fabbed the replacement rear body mounts?
I'm leaning towards the same kind of truck, just trying to gather ideas on that particular area.

Thanks, and keep up the progress !!
