it was a good trip, though chronologically, the pictures are backwards... the first pic (the last one i took) was taken at the same time that i almost lost my truck... where i'm standing, taking the pic, was between 2 trails on a switchback, my truck was parked idling, i heard a noise and turned around to see the truck rolling down the hill towards the cliff at the edge of the switch back, it took out 2 smaller trees, and hit one with about a 4-5" diameter, which stopped it, inches from the cliff

edit: here's a few more from my phone:

unrelated note, this post is 4x as evil as hell (4,666)

it really was! the only downsides i could point out for the entire weekend are:
first night, it was really windy, i didn't sweep out the back of my truck well enough, and the broken glass popped my airmattress... the last trail we took, took about 6-7 hours longer than we expected, and was narrow as hell, so everyone got a massive amount of pinstriping

I'm surprised to see snow in July !?! Very nice pixs too-

the trail was impassable at one point, so we all had to break out the shovels...

i forgot to say in the post above, thank you for the compliments...

here are some more pics of my truck and me:

this one is me, and my big hat...

forgot to mention, this is canada my friend... lol, the group just got back from a trip to the same area and they said there was still tonnes of snow (yes, tonnes) in that area...

Thanks for reping the ford. Holy toyota batman!

well, it is the canadian toyota 4wd association... they are just a wicked group of guys to hang with, i get razzed a little running one of the only fords in the group (master hec0 and possibly k.strong, are also premium members on the site) there is also i think an h3t and for sure a sami that are premium members (you must be a premium member to participate in official trail runs, which these pictures are from)

Still snow out in the boonies at the end of August ?!? That is awesome to comprehend-

CANADA, lol, we've got sections here that will always have snow... now when i say always have snow, i don't mean like it's white, no grass... there is flora, mostly moss and such, it is very green, but there will be patches of white throught the entire summer, and it's ALMOST gone when it starts to snow in the fall again... the city i live in, is at roughly 3,400 feet elevation, and 51* north latitude, hits a yearly low temperature of approx -40 degrees, and we have on average 2-3 months of the year that you can wear shorts on a regular basis...
