Crud!!!!!!!!!!

She's fine - just freaked out. Her fault - was just looking down to grab her drink, looked up, BAM. I guess it's a cheap lesson to learn about paying more attention when driving considering it just folded up the hood and bent the front clip in. The maxima was mine, got the ranger and gave her the car - it was the cheapest way out. Insurance is a beyotch though, $600/yr for the wife's Honda, $380 for the ranger, $2285 for the kid!!! I love that car though, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat - fast, quiet, reliable as hell. I've owned it for 10 years and the only non-maintenance part I ever replaced was the starter.

Holy hell... that is more than I pay for both of my vehicles to have full coverage, for a year.

i got a 98 maxima and i think it is quik and i am a experieced driver. but is ur daugher ok??????

I always leave my hitch on too but its a double edged sword, yes it would help in a rear end collision.... but the shin to hitch collisions are getting really old.

My dad got cellulitus or something like that from the hitch on his truck, got a couple days in the hospital on antibiotics for it, couldn't even walk for awhile.

And it is also a great way to really screw up your truck in a wreck, rather than the collapsable bumper mounts absorbing the impact your frame does...

Find a cheap Ranger for the kid. She'll have a hard time killing that one. Besides, the 4-banger is so slow, she won't get into too much trouble.

A Ranger reguardless of engine will die the same way, distracted driving (and we all have done it) is a pretty good equalizer.

Thats why I always leave a hitch in my receiver hitch... that way there isn't too much damage done to my truck (hopefully) and the ball takes the brunt of it.

Hmm, good idea. Will have to pick one up.

.

Get that kid a first gen 4-banger... without air conditioning.:D

Thats what I've got (+2 cylinders) NO WAY I'm giving her my truck. Now - back to the trailer hitch thread jack. JK - I've done it enough myself.
