cross reference question

my buddy has a 05 ranger that has the electric 4x4 and my other buddy has an electric motor for the transfer case from his 91. i assume they are the same transfer case? my buddy with the 91 is convinced it is and thinks the extra motor he has will work. so any info on this would be sweet. i havent really researched much but i am going to look into while i wait for replies

oh and i would assume any 1354 will work in the 05? we may try to swap in a manual too.

Any 1354 will work in the 05, particularly a manual. I don't know if the motors are the same, but if the plugs are the same odds are good it will work.

the cases are the same except for the output front shaft but the shift motors have different plugs on them.
