thats the plan..gonna just rent an apartment(s) till i am ready (with my gf) to get a house after school. but anytime i go to a hotel or anything they demand a credit card..same thing if i wanna pre-purchase tickets to any sporting event; have to do it online with a credit card

im 19 and have about 7 or 8 credit cards. the only reason i have them though is for the credit rating. i think ive only ever used 2 of them. and always pay them off at the end of the month. got them locked in a safe most of the time.
i've always thought about taking out a loan and just puting it into a savings account and only use it to pay the loan off. seems like an easy way to help out your credit score.

Everywhere that says they need a credit card will take a debit card just as easy. period.

First you do not need a credit card to get credit. If you play with snakes you will get bit. And if you just pay off a loan with the money you take, you will still be out quite a bit. It's a little thing called interest.

only ONE other hotel that i have been to has accepted anything BUT a credit card..although i had to deposit $150..i have been refused a room 3 times because not having a credit card on me. although, i had no issues outside of ontario when i went to nova scotia, so maybe its just here in ontario

my credit is F&!@@ had to have co signer for first loan i ever got paid it back in 2 months ( $2000 ) got a credit card had it for 2 years never even used it took out a $8000 loan paid it back within a year... then i met my ex and now i have more bad than good credit
