Crashed my Ranger :(

Not yet. Truck is still at the body shop. They needed an additional $1300 to fix it, putting the grand total of damages to almost $11k. :shok: It's getting a bunch of junkyard parts (hood, fender, bumper, etc), and apparently the yard keeps sending them crap, so they keep sending the parts back. I haven't had a chance to stop at the shop to check out the progress lately. By the time I get out of work, the shop is closed and everybody is gone. I miss my truck. :bawling:

I think that the original 9k which is 60% is borderline for totalling out a vehicle. But 11k is neighborhood of 75% wow. Thats for a vehicle of this value I've heard of an insurance company paying to fix a porsche well over the 60% of it's value. But then it was a brand new car and the owner was kind of lying about the acceident.

So I managed to duck out of work a little early today and stop at the body shop on my way home. It's coming along nicely. Looks like all they have left is replace the grille, lights, bumper, finish buffing the paint, replace windshield, and other miscellaneous small stuff.

QUOTE]

It sounds like she slammed on her brakes so she wouldn't hit the F150.

Took long enough.

Don't wreck it again for a while.

:D:yahoo: FINALLY GOT MY TRUCK BACK TODAY!!!!!! :yahoo::D

You might not know this but you should also be compensated for "Diminished Value" because an accident substantially depreciates the value of the truck.
When a drunk ran into the back of me 7 years ago, I asked for it and got an extra $2500 because the damage was $5600 and the frame was slightly tweaked and had to be aligned. My uninsured motorist coverage covered it too because it was a drunk unlicensed, uninsured "Undocumented Worker". Even though the wreck was your fault, you still should get it.

WoW !! It took the longest time to get it repaired !! Glad you got it back-

It can be rebuilt.... faster... stronger.

The bed dents MAY be from the frame/body flexing, not necessarily bending. Hope for the best! Hell, if they write it off, you can buy it back cheap and fix it up if its not that bad.
