Hey,

Big problem, my Crankshaft Hub on my 2.3l 94 Ranger wore out....the key had worn down making the key way about a 1/4 in big...:shok: Anyways I have went to a junkyard and found the same setup as mine 95 ranger. Tried pulling it out, pulley puller and all and the Hub broke in half, key still on the crankshaft.

Ive went to about 3-4 junkyards and nothing. They do not make the part anymore, obsolete. I was wondering does anyone have one laying around, or know of any where that I could happen to get one. I really need this fixed because I have absolutely no money to go out and even buy a junker car... Im in a pretty bad situation.

I ran into a guy in the salvage yard today with the same problem (I was getting rear end parts off of the same truck), it was a 93 with a good hub that came off with just alittle wiggling, jiggling, and pulling by hand, he told me that just the hub new was over a $125.00, he got the one off the wrecked truck for $25.00.

yea new is $125.00 but they do not make the part anymore. No way to find it lol. Im looking into buying a '03 marauder next week...

That's strange I bought one less then a year ago for my 94 ranger. I just took the part number to the dealer parts counter and told them I needed p/n 6c337 (having the factory service manual is handy) and they ordered it cost me like $57.00 and they had it in about 3 days. It seems this is a common problem on the 2.3L engines and will make it run like crap until it is replaced.

So I got it fixed for now. Put a load of thread lock on the center bolt for now it holds. It runs better then when I first got it HAHA. I forgot how much it is to drive my lil 2.3 hehe.
